Winter Birdwatching
Who does not like to dive into nature, to listen to the birds chirping or simply to close their eyes and let them be carried by the sounds of nature? To really enjoy these experiences, birdwatching is just right for you. Between December and January, this is the best time to observe (in silence and in a protected spot) the countless species of birds in the region. What do you need? A binocular, a field guide, a notebook to keep in mind all your sightings and a clothing suitable for stiff temperatures. Where? We recommend the natural reserves of the Foci dello Stella and Valle Canal Novo in lagoon of Marano Lagunare, the Natural Reserve of the Cavanata Valley at Fossalon di Grado and the Natural Reserve of the mouth of the Isonzo - Cona Island. All of these protected areas are equipped with excellent observation points, such as shielding and indoor observation, to admire the bird life without disturbing the animals.
